Witney Carson is facing some backlash after sharing a screencap of her text messages with husband Carson McAllister, in which she appeared to throw some shade at Dylan Efron.
The Dancing With the Stars champion took to her Instagram Reels this week to share a video featuring all of the supportive texts that Carson sent her throughout season 34. The clip has since been deleted, and it appears to be because of a message that probably should have been removed from the video.
Witney was highlighting Carson‘s message telling her that her performance was “Sooooo freaking goood!!!!” on November 18. The text that was right before it was still visible though.

Carson texted Witney to say, “Zac Efron is here.”
After being absent for the entire season, Zac showed up to support his brother Dylan during the semi-finals round. It appears that Witney thinks he did this to help his brother get votes.
Witney responded, “I saw! They are trying to get votes.” You can see the screencap on Reddit.
While Dylan did really well with his judges’ scores throughout the season, his scores were never as high as Witney and her partner Robert Irwin.
After these comments went viral, Witney went on her Instagram Stories to praise all of the finalists for DWTS this season.
About Dylan she wrote, “To see you shine and grow each week was such a pleasure to watch – not to mention how down to earth you are! I’m a fan for life.”
In the end, Witney and Robert did win the season, despite an injury in the final week that could have sidelined them.
