Sensex today | Stock Market LIVE Updates, Wednesday, November 26, 2025: Indian benchmarks opened higher on Wednesday, riding the global upbeat sentiment. The BSE Sensex was at 84,847, gaining 260 points or 0.31 per cent, while the Nifty50 was at 25,973, advancing 88 points or 0.34 per cent.
Global markets are holding gains for a third straight day as investors bet on a rate cut by the US Federal Reserve in December 2025. Tata Motors PV, Trent, Adani Ports, Tata Steel, Reliance Industries, L&T, Ultratech Cement, Infosys, Maruti Suzuki, ICICI Bank, and Tech M were the top gainers on the Sensex today. On the flipside, Bharti Airtel, HUL, and TCS were the only losers.
In the broader markets, the Nifty MidCap index rose 0.53 per cent, and the Nifty SmallCap index 0.79 per cent.
Among sectors, the Nifty Metal index was leading the rally with 1.7-per cent gain. The Nifty PSU Bank index, IT, Financial Services, and Private Bank indices followed suit with up to 0.8 per cent gains.
