Sensex today | Stock Market LIVE Updates today, Dec 3, 2025: Indian stock markets extended their decline into a third straight session on Wednesday. The BSE Sensex was at 84,838, down 300 points or 0.35 per cent, while the Nifty50 was at 25,928, lower by 104 points or 0.4 per cent. Majority of the 30 Sensex stocks were in the red today, led by HUL, Titan, Tata Motors PV, NTPC, BEL, Trent, Bajaj Finserv, Kotak Bank, Ultratech Cement, Maruti Suzuki, L&T, Power Grid, and ITC. On the higher side, TCS, Infosys, Eternal, Reliance Industries, HCL Tech, Axis Bank, Tech M, and Adani Ports were protecting the downside.
In the broader markets, the mid- and small-cap indices — Nifty MidCap and Nifty SmallCap — fell 0.5 per cent and 0.57 per cent, respectively.
Among sectors, the Nifty IT, and Nifty Pharma indices gained 0.7 per cent and 0.3 per cent, respectively, as the Indian Rupee hit record lows. These export oriented sectors benefit from a falling rupee as related companies earn a large share of their revenues in dollars while incurring most of their costs in rupees.
On the downside, the Nifty PSU Bank index fell 0.6 per cent.
