It has been announced that the FBI spinoff’s showrunner Warren Leight has exited the project, leading to a delay in production, according to Variety.

Current FBI showrunner Mike Weiss is in talks to take the reigns of the new show.
It’s being reported that the series will take a brief pause in production while undergoing the showrunner transition, and this is said to not impact the upcoming mid-season premiere date.
This marks the second change in showrunners, after FBI: Most Wanted‘s David Hudgins was originally attached but exited, causing the show to be pushed to mid-season.
