Sensex today | Stock Market LIVE Updates, Friday, November 21, 2025: Indian stock markets opened in the red on Friday amid tepid global cues.
The BSE Sensex was off lows, trading around 85,541, lower by 92 points or 0.11 per cent, while the Nifty50 was at 26,158, falling 34 points or 0.13 per cent.
Tata Steel, HCL Tech, Bajaj Finance, ICICI Bank, Adani Ports, BEL, Eternal, Bajaj Finserv were the top losers, falling up to 0.9 per cent.
However, buying in M&M, NTPC, Asian Paints, TCS, Maruti Suzuki, and Ultratech Cement were supporting the recovery in the benchmarks.
In the broader markets, the Nifty MidCap index declined 0.39 per cent, and the Nifty SmallCap index 0.27 per cent. Fear gauge, India VIX, jumped 10 per cent.
All the sectoral indices were showing negative trend with the Nifty Metal index down 1 per cent, followed by the Nifty Financial Services index (down 0.5 per cent).
