Public Knowledge has the pleasure of inviting you to a multifaceted program focused on training and developing the next generation of tech policy experts and public interest advocates that reflects the diversity of voices and experiences in our society.
Please join us for our monthly Career Breakfast Series. This event is designed specifically for students and recent graduates of color, offering insights into tech policy and public interest careers, and providing a platform for individuals from underrepresented backgrounds. This time, you will have the opportunity to have a great conversation with Didier Barjon.
Didier is the Tech & Telecom Legislative Assistant for the Democratic Leader, Charles E. Schumer (D-NY). He advises the senator on technology, telecommunications, antitrust, and intellectual property policy. He previously worked for Sen. Gary Peters (D-MI), Rep. Kathy Castor (FL-14), and Rep. Xavier Becerra (CA-34). Didier previously served as the President of the Congressional Black Associates and currently serves on the Advisory Board. He is a Haitian-American born in New York City and raised in Tampa, Florida. Didier is a graduate of Philadelphia University, where he received a Bachelors in Law & Society and served as the captain of the cross country and track team.
Additionally, Didier serves on the Advisory Board for the Black Men on the Hill, a Congressional Staff Organization of the U.S. House of Representatives that aims to enhance the political, social, and economic capabilities of Black staffers on Capitol Hill and in the Greater Washington Metropolitan area.
Barjon holds a Bachelor of Science in Law and Society from Philadelphia University. As a student, Barjon was Captain of the Men’s Cross Country and Track Teams.
